Maison Malou Berlin is the creative playground of Marie-Louise & Markus and it all began on Valentine’s Day in 2021, on the very first date.

Markus brought flowers, but Marie-Louise did even better. She brought handmade candles and what started as a thoughtful gesture grew into a years-long creative outlet that has fueled our lives ever since.

If you have lit a candle that comes from a market or an event in Berlin in the past few years, there is a high chance it was poured by us.

Today, Maison Malou has evolved. Our atelier in Lichtenberg is where our love for craftsmanship meets a professional environment. We run the space as a conceptual extension of our own living room. It is a place to create without the rush, where the barrier to entry is low but the level of expertise is high.

Our Sunday Atelier Workshops are the heartbeat of this new chapter. Led by Marie-Louise—an established leader in the slow fashion movement with recognition from the likes of Vogue DE, L’Officiel, and Grazia—these sessions aim to be far from your average crafting class. They are a dedicated space to inspire each other, to create under the umbrella of slow fashion, and to learn professional techniques alongside guest industry experts.

Whether you are an experienced craft-lover or a total beginner, the workshops are a place where you can find your creative rhythm. We are here to ensure every hour you spend with us is meaningful.
