Workshop Cancellation & Refund Policy

We run a small, intentional operation. Because we limit our Sunday Atelier to maximum 10 participants and begin our preparations (shopping for fresh food and curating specialty materials) on Fridays, we have established the following policy:

1. The "Oops" Window (100% Refund)
Mistakes happen. If you realize you’ve made a booking error, we offer a full 100% refund if you email us within 4 hours of your purchase at the following address:
contact@maisonmalouberlin.com

2. Early-Week Cancellations (50% Refund)
If your plans change, you can cancel your ticket up until Friday at 15:00. In this case, we will provide a 50% refund. This helps us cover the initial administrative costs and the seat we held for you.

3. Late-Week & Last-Minute (No Cash Refund) After Friday at 15:00, we have already begun shopping and preparing the atelier for your arrival. Time is very limited by then to re-sell the ticket. Therefore, we cannot offer cash refunds after this time.

4. The "Safety Valve": Transfer Your Ticket
You can always give or sell your ticket to a friend if you cannot make it! As long as you email us with the name of the person taking your place before the workshop starts at 11:00 on Sunday, they are more than welcome.

5. What if I get sick?
We know that getting sick sucks. If you wake up ill on Saturday or Sunday, please let us know as soon as possible. While we cannot offer a cash refund at that late stage, we will look at your situation individually and may offer you a Voucher (Store Credit) to join us for a future workshop instead. We want to see you at the table when you’re feeling better.

Nice To Know

Shared Values
You absolutely don’t need to be a fashion industry professional to join us. Our workshops are open to anyone who resonates with slow fashion values and the art of craftsmanship. Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned crafter, we ensure the environment is inclusive and that you leave the atelier with a concrete piece of work in your hand.

Language
We are a bilingual house. We speak both English and German fluently. Most sessions are conducted in a mix of both languages depending on the group, ensuring that everyone can participate fully and follow along comfortably.

Finding the Atelier
We are located on the ground floor for easy access, exactly one minute’s walk from the Lichtenberg Station (S/U-Bahn). To protect the privacy of our workspace, the exact address and entry instructions will be provided to you in your booking confirmation email.

The "Head of Encouragement"
Yujin, our allergy-friendly Bolonka/Yorkshire Terrier mix, is a permanent fixture of our creative process. He is very calm and used to the movement of the atelier. If you would like to bring your own small dog, please let us know beforehand so we can ensure a smooth introduction.

Documentation & The Portal
We enjoy documenting the process and will usually take a few photos or short clips for our social media. We also provide professional photography of your work, which will be uploaded to our
Digital Portal
after the session. You are welcome to use these for your own records or social media. If you prefer not to be on camera, just let us know when you arrive.

Additional Service Onsite
While our Sundays are focused on the craft, the "fast" side of the Maison is always active. If you are interested in taking your creative projects to the next level and want to discuss digital infrastructure, websites, or workflows, Markus is always available during breaks for a quick consultation or a pointer in the right direction.
